# Getting the best print quality (DPI and printer settings)

### Print resolution (DPI)

In Settings and in the print dialog you can set **Print resolution**:

- **203** — thermal label printers
- **300** — laser printers (default)
- **600** — high-resolution devices

Continuous-feed rolls often print best at **203 DPI** on thermal printers. Very small labels may automatically print at a higher effective DPI; the app can show a note when that happens.

### Browser print settings

When your browser print dialog opens:

1. Set scale to **100%** (not “Fit to page”).
2. Set margins to **None** (or the minimum your printer allows).
3. Choose the correct paper size for sheets.
4. Turn off headers and footers.

Wrong scale is the most common cause of misaligned sheet labels.

### Align to your sheet

- Select the same **Sheet or roll** template you bought.
- Load paper according to your printer’s tray guides.
- Print one test page and adjust if your printer consistently shifts.

### Barcodes and QR codes

Low DPI or heavy compression can make barcodes hard to scan. Prefer the DPI that matches your printer type, keep codes large enough, and test with a scanner.
